Life on a family farm in the wilds of Upstate New York
Well now that is a nice gift! Lots of things that are good that you can make with those!!
Lindas beans are the best you will ever cook, now make some fried potatoes and corn bread and thats good eaten. I can attest to this.
Now that is too neat. Your very own "Linda" pinto beans all the way from Colorado. What a delightful world. Really.
Lisa, it is great. I will share!EllieK, how do you make yours? I am so excited about cooking them!Linda, yup. lolCathy, it is! You should smell how good they smell!
I wash and then soak them for a couple of hours, drain and cover with fresh water and a piece of ham or ham hock and then just cook until tender. if I don't have ham I use some bacon drippings. I know that isn't healthy sounding but it is very good.
I hope you like them!Lindahttp://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com http://deltacountyhistoricalsociety.wordpress.com
Ellie, thanks! I will try that. I figure the beans are so healthy they make up for ANYTHING you add to them. lolLinda, I can't wait to try them! Thank you again!
