Jinglebob posted this link on the real result of letting folks exercise their Second Amendment rights.
A good friend participated in this Guinness Book record collection of boats in Inlet NY.
Take into account that Inlet, a tiny town in the Adirondack Mountains, has a population of well under 500, yet beat out Pittsburgh, PA for the record. The event raised money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research and was called One Square Mile of Hope. (Record is not yet official but surely will be.)
The More Guns: Less Crime story has been out there for some time. Funny how the media can find space and air time to voice the opinions of folks who swear there'll be blood in the streets but forget to report after the fact that it just has never, ever happened.
ReplyDelete(BTW The link you have doesn't work. Too many http://s at the start.)
Good photo of the grasshopper. With the hot, dry spell in mid summer and now all this wet stuff preventing the cutting of grass, they have got to be living high on the hog. I've got 'em all over the place.
" Around the world, whenever guns are banned, murder rates rise. "
ReplyDeleteIt really is remarkable that some refuse the truth about broad gun ownership keeping society a bit more civil and safer.

Thanks Joated, I think I have it fixed
ReplyDeleteCathy, it has been proven, over and over and over, but it is not what certain people want to hear. I thought it was very cool that my friend was somewhere in the middle of that colorful mass.
