Our first thought was

A mix of red and black Angus too...but what are they crossed with that gives them those dangly things on their chests?

They feed baleage from the wagons....just put that pic in to show you how many they have although they have a lot more than are in the photo.

    I really didn't pay attention to the shot with the wattle/dewlap. Brahman cattle have a very pronounced dewlap, but most of those crossed with Angus or whatever retain the hump shoulder, along with the larger ears. Just not sure what all is mixed up in that bunch - there really aren't that many solid black or red breeds, and you'd think if some lighter colored cattle were mixed in, that would show up. If Herefords were part of the mix, you'd have a bunch of black whitefaces, for instance.

    Jeffro, they do have some black baldies in another field, but these were the puzzle, just because of the wattle things. Other than that they look pretty much like Angus, except that many of them have light colored tails. We will find out eventually on the farmer grapevine exactly what is going on I expect.
