Thanks, farmlady! It never fails to amuse me how the red and brown cows, the Shorthorns and Jerseys, seem to stick together. They are kind of like an elite school yard clique. lol
Linda, thanks. It has amazed me ever since we got the first few Jerseys. I wonder why...maybe it is that they are related closely...maybe they all smell alike or something. All our shorties are sired by one bull or they are the offspring of those that were and all our Jerseys descend from Heather, Liz's original Jersey cow.
Cathy, isn't it odd? You would think they would be sprinkled throughout the herd but they almost never are.
