The Shrine is right down the road from us. When we were kids my next younger brother and I walked to Mass in spring or summer. It was quite an experience, with the walk through the amazing beauty of this valley, shrouded in early morning fog and teeming with wild birds and deer, almost as moving as Mass celebrated in the giant Colosseum.
