What Fun!
We went out looking for photo ops this Sunday. I was hoping to get down near the swamp up the road for some shots of great blue herons, or maybe to see a new bird of one kind or another.
What actually happened was that we got caught in an insane hail storm, where we could not see the road and the car was hydroplaning so bad that we didn't even try to stop.
Then when the sun came out the boss took me out around farm country, which was fun, but not what we started out to do. No more birds. At least I finally got a pic of that grey goose.
It is weird what this spate of torrential rain is doing to the ground. Out in the pasture, where the cows pock it up, it is impossible to walk, or nearly. So wet and bumpy.
In the woods it is bone dry. Hard as iron too.
Hail. I hate hail. When we lived in Colorado . . I cowered with my small son when those storms came off the mountains. You'd step outside after it passed . . . and the air was filled with pine scent. It'd beat the 'hail' out of the local pines.
ReplyDeleteBut Sunday was awesome! NEW DOCTOR LOL :)
ReplyDeleteCathy, I sure hear you. I can remember bringing hay down in the pick up with the kids in the back and having to stop and quickly let them dive in through the sliding window to get out of a real bad one.
ReplyDeleteBreezey, if you say so, lol
