    We've been driving through farm country this week.
    There is a wistful beauty to the warm beige that has replaced all the burgeoning green of summer.

    Ed, thanks, actually, we are pretty much past it. In the higher elevations there was some nice color, but mostly dull locally

    Cathy, it already looks like November here, except for the green of the grass.

    Dancing Donkey, kind of a disappointing fall in terms of color, but great weather so I'm not complaining.
