Two Bears

This is a long ago, but very fine dog, named Two Bears. She liked to jump and play so much that those pics show her leaping for a tuft of grass. Photos were probably taken on a very long ago trip to Colorado, which encompasses many of my favorite memories. Ah, to be young and s̶i̶l̶l̶y̶  confident enough to travel a good half of the USA camping in the back of a pickup truck with two dogs along.

This is a somewhat more recent story about two bears. I shuddered when I read it. They do not make guns big enough for me to face that kind of bear. go, read, be glad you weren't along on this camping trip.....
Not the world's fanciest camper, but a great companion...Brandy.....there on the hood.
And travels from NY to Florida to Idaho, Montana, Colorado, and many more states to remember.

  1. I wouldn't have wanted to be on that trip either, ma'am - and thank you for the link. :)

  2. Oh yes to be young and silly again and know what we know now, I would not make many changes in my life but I would live it fuller. I do love my life but it is slipping away really fast, I am 69 now.

  3. Rev. Paul, thank you for the amazing story! Even knowing it came out all right I was right on the edge of my chair. Ack!

ellie, yes! Imagine what we would do with our lives if we started out with the permission to live that we finally give ourselves sometime in our sixties. Sure would live it all richer and deeper. And probably a little bit slower and more appreciative. Although we have never met, you seem very young, in a good way....must be young at heart, which is a fine thing to be

  6. We are such dog people. Can't believe we don't have one.
As for that bear story . . . That's about as bad as nightmares get . . . and you can't wake up.

  7. Cathy, lol, we almost acquired another dog yesterday. We shouldn't! However, it was such a cute little puppy. Thankfully someone else snapped it up before we got too far into the process.
