Bird Wing
She smells of soft and feathery things Her mother's love and angel wings. Her call is like the catbird's cry Her mama runs and so do I Whenever we hear that plaintive song as it Rings through Northview's sunny halls....... The call of the wild granddaughter
REv. Paul, thanks, she really does sound exactly like a catbird when she first starts making "come 'n' get me noises". So much so that I throw my head up and listen closer whenever I hear the bird.
Nita, I think she usually is. lol
Jan, oh, yeah!
Linda, thanks, I'm glad.
Cathy, thanks. I let it sit for a while, because I couldn't rhyme the last part and then I said the heck with it. Not as if it is meant for the ages, just a silly little thing that came to me when I was holding her out on the porch a few weeks ago.
Clever ... and cute.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she's planning something...
ReplyDeleteIf we had only known the power we had back then...
ReplyDeleteWell done!! You gave me a very big smile!
