Makes you want to put you cows in the barn and pad lock them at night. I feel so bad for this farmer, that is a big loss and the cows could lose there calves if not handled with care.
I think you are right, my son in law and his dad run 3 to 400 cattle on there farm and it is away from where they live. I know they have locks on all the gates but that will not stop someone that wants in. I feel for farmers today, like my son in law, he has pulled out over 3000 full grown producing citrus trees, and it would really hurt them to lose cattle too.
Farmers seem to get hit so hard so often, on top of my son in laws loss some one broke in there sheds and stole two tractors, small equipment and all his small tools. They did recover his tractors but not the other things. He said every time he needed a different tool and then realized it was gone he had to go buy one. Of course they did a lot of damage to whatever they could not take. Our son in law just keeps going, he is a good man, scout leader, Active in his church and he takes very good care of our daughter and there kids.
Ellie, you must be proud of him and rightly so. Sure are hard times for the honest and decent. We have had the same trend with small tools and such. Something will be there one time and the next time, it's just not. Not much to be done about it either. Sadly....
I hate to say this, but with the dollar weakening & the economy worsening, rustling & other thefts will probably increase.
ReplyDeleteToo depressing.
ReplyDeleteI think Rev. Paul has it right. I think you are right...it is more than worrying! Like Cathy said...down right depressing!

I agree with all of the above. It is way past time for America to Bless God & get back on the right track. Yeah, I know, I'm old school American.
ReplyDeleteRev. Paul, alas I have to agree. Saw story
ReplyDeleteCathy, it is worrisome indeed
Linda, yes, I think so too. Bad stuff
Nursejoan, I agree wholeheartedly. Things are in a mess. Perhaps only the old school Americans can do anything about it....if even they can

ReplyDeleteEllie, with beef prices so high and the economy so bad I'm afraid this is just going to get worse.
