  1. I hope you all had a good time. Did you find the monuments on Kulps hill? Dad and I got pictures of them when we were there. We we so surprised to find them side by side. It seems that the 29th Ohio and the 127th NY backed each other up at that location. When one groups muskets got hot and wouldn't reload the other group moved in. Medad and Eugene had not joined up yet, so they were not there. Grandpa Fred Case was there. He is the one buried at North Bush Church.
    Love,

Oh! You have history there at Gettysburg. What a lovely tribute to those there on that field, to be draped in the Spirit of free flowers growing and that you are there too, how beautiful that is. I have heard there is a hush on that land that cannot be ignored by anyone who goes there. Thank you for this..and blessings abound. Happy Father's Day to all those there and yours as well...Merri

  4. Mom, we had an amazing time and we did see Culp's Hill and Alan got some nice photos even though it was raining when we got there. I guess I should get these names and regiments and dates and stuff for you for Alan. He is really interested and much more knowledgeable than I will ever be. Love you and thanks for getting back to us when we were there so we could find the right monuments. I think we would have missed them.

Merri, thanks. It is true and that atmosphere lingers with you for days. I think about it a lot even still. Blessings to you too.

Ed, I had never been, but now I do want to go again. What an amazing place.
