Linda, we were so lucky to catch them at it and for Peggy to get to see. She loves living things, and I hope she does grow to appreciate the wild birds and all the wonders around her. She is certainly off to a good start.
Merri, we were so lucky. And I am SO glad they have flown. I have dozens of plants out there plus it's where I do a lot of my potting and transplanting. They did not enjoy my company one bit. Other years Robins have used one or the other of the two nests out there and become accustomed to me and ignored me. However, this pair was very flighty and took off even if we walked through the living room from which the porch opens. I flatly refused to yield that to them. lol
It's always a huge day when they fledge...even for hoo-mans.
