The Doors

A quick shot of our neighbors' new carousel milking parlor
Word is the cows love to ride on it.

Normally I open the big double front doors in April.

I still haven't even taken the blankets and things we use to keep the draft down off yet.

Bah humbug!

Still, I have faith. There will be screen door days and lightning bug nights.....someday....somewhere....just not necessarily here.

  1. We are terribly cold again here. Sweatshirt and flannel jacket cold. At least the corn popped up, Terry was beginning to worry the seed had rotted.

  2. About 90here today, we do not have lightening bugs, I do miss seeing them. We have plenty of other bugs though. Very dry, we have had one rain in the past month, they say maybe tomorrow.

  3. Linda, good grief, I am tired of being cold. I guess it's the price we are going to pay for having a warm winter here. On the bright side, the spring flowers are lasting and lasting.

Ellie, I don't envy you 90. That's about ten degrees too warm for me. However, these howling winds and temps in the 30s and 40s are just nasty. Bring on spring! I hope you get the rain you need.
