  1. We voted early! Tomorrow we know...scary election this year.

  2. I used to vote when the polls opened, but then we moved out of Anchorage. I live a lot farther from work now, and have to leave earlier. Looked longingly at the church that is our polling place, but couldn't wait another 45 minutes for them to open.

There was a line already, too.

  3. I have my ballot mailed to me and I mail it back. So much less stress

  4. Linda, no early voting here, so we went down this morning. Huge turnout.

Rev. Paul, that must be frustrating. We went down pretty early.

Jan, unless we file for an absentee ballot, which is something of a pain, we have to go vote. I don't mind. The people who work at our polls are really nice folks, whom we rarely see except at voting time.

  5. I voted by mail, I was not sure where this cancer was going to take me. I wanted to be able to vote and now God has smiled down on me and looks like I will be fine. Still have 28 more radiation treatments to go. The treatments are going fine so far.

  6. Ellie, I am so glad to hear that things are going reasonably well for you. I think of you often. My mom went through the thing a few years back and it was really rough on her. I am proud of how she soldiered on. She was in the Carolinas digging for gold with dad and my brother's family right after her surgery. I hope I grow up to be as strong. Best wished for your complete recovery!
