Mommy, there's Eggs

"There's eggs, Mommy, there's two! Come and see, come and see!"

"Mommy!"

Eggs means new chicks in toddler speak.

In fact there are three new chickies in the incubator in the dining room. Peepeepeepeep PEEP!

Guess how many times a day a toddler peeks in through the window of the incubator....

She brought me a brown-brockled quail egg yesterday for show and tell.

After exclaiming over its amazing cuteness I asked her, "What are you going to do with that?"

"Put it in the inkerbator and hatch out a chickie," she replied.

Science lessons for three-year-oldsfree for the learning.

  4. I don't care for the way the Amish treat their animals, I guess they don't have time to do it properly. Leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Peggy has gotten so big soooo fast! What a delight she is!

  7. Joated, she is! She drives her mama nuts, "Barn, barn, barn..." all day long. lol

Lisa, they drive Ralph nuts as he sleeps in the next room and they peep all night. He is glad when they go to the barn as soon as they are dry. lol

Linda, she is pretty amazing in her understanding of what is going on around her.

Wendy, boy do I hear you there. This incident was pretty disconcerting as the guy waved us by and the black one was slatting all over the road and the Belgians were spooking at him and at the car. Seemed to me if you have to drag a horse you might do it on softer ground and out of traffic but that's just me.

Rita, I guess they all go through that stage. Hope she does return soon!

Cathy, she is so good about the practicalities of having stock.
