Jacqueline, thanks, I kind of despaired of him at first. He was a nice pup, but lacking that special zing of connection that border collies have with their people. I guess it was because he had a couple of homes before ours and wasn't ready to trust us, because now he is just the best buddy. He sleeps near my feet just like Mike, Nick and Gael used to...I have missed them a lot. I don't mind a bit that his herding instinct is all directed at House Sparrows and overflying geese, as we have little for him to herd on the ground and he would be so frustrated.
