Looks like today or tomorrow will mark the shakedown cruise for most of the hay equipment. We could use your good thoughts.

Love that bob o link! Mom
ReplyDeleteMay the skies be clear until the hay is in the barn.
ReplyDeleteMy that bobolink's song accompany the smooth and sweet-smelling hay-making.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard on in so many years I'm now going to google it!
Thanks, Mom, something weird is up with them this year. I think the nests may have gotten washed away in the rain. Love you
ReplyDeleteBill, thank you! We need just a few hours today and all that is down will be in
Cathy, This guy was just chirping a little. I think we have had a Bobolink apocalypse this spring. First the hay didn't grow and the crows were working the nesting area every time I went up in the field. Then all the darned rain came. There are fewer and fewer every time I go up and I don't think it is just that they are quiet around the nests.
Love the smell of new mown hay!
ReplyDeleteGOOD THOUGHTS ABOUND for SUNSHINE and LONG DRYING WEATHER!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda
Joated, smells just like sugar, doesn't it!
ReplyDeleteLinda, thanks! They got what he had down put in the mow yesterday and already sold a couple of bales. Looks like some really iffy weather coming up though, alas.
