Check out the Chihuahua with delusions of grandeur. |
This place sounds like one. Every single one of the six of us is still coughing and hacking and sneezing and wheezing. We assume that eventually we will all get over it and things will look better.
Meanwhile I will leave you with a young Amish fellow we saw racing his horses around and around his barnyard.
No idea whether he was taking a little spin off them before getting out to work, or just having a good time. There was a second pair with some other folks watching as he went dashing through the snow in a two-horse open bob sleigh. They looked pretty awed, as were we.
I much admire his ability to balance, while standing up on a flipping and flying wagon like that....and to steer around all the stuff in that yard while not hitting any of it. Impressive!
ReplyDeletedelusions of grandeur is pretty much part of the Chihuahua DNA
Pretty cool! I loved Jan and your comments about the Chihuahua!!!
ReplyDeleteMy son and family were here for the holidays and my son came down with flu, it put him in bed for three days and my son in law for two days. The they passed in around but the rest had lighter cases. I never got it at all. I guess the Mom needed to stay healthy although my daughter and daughter in law did all the cooking for almost three weeks.
ReplyDeleteJan, on one hand the Amish puppy mills are not so hot. On the other hand some of their dogs live a real dog's life, unlike so many pampered house pets.
ReplyDeleteEllie, so sorry to read that your whole family is sick. No idea if this is the flu or just the cold from Hell, but I sure am tired of it! Hope all feel better down there in the sunny south. My son and brother are working at Universal Studios, but I know that is far from you.
