Might bring a rainbow. We have had at least 8 different Baltimore Orioles at the feeders, eating suet and oranges, as well as Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, N. Cardinals, Pine Siskins and tons of others eating seeds. I think wild food is still pretty scarce.

Birding on the road hasn't been bad either, although I'm sick of being wet all the time.

The goose with her chicks on her back is just darling. I don't think I've ever seen that. Are those cranberries the Orioles are eating?
ReplyDeleteWe are three months past our rainy season and it is raining again.
ReplyDeleteAwww . .. . yes, that snuggly picture is so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteOH! That momma with her babies is priceless! Rain is due in here on Friday. We are a tad wet also.
ReplyDeleteJonna, yes ,they are cranberries. We bought a couple of bags last fall with a lot of bad ones. I sorted some, but gave up on these and put them out for the birds. They aren't crazy about them, but they do seem to eat them.
ReplyDeleteJan, rain again today. Ugh
Cathy, yeah, they are cute when they are little
