The Eyes have It

There is an American Bittern in this photo.
The boss and I spotted him at just about the same time.
I really wanted one for my county list this year.
No FOY dance though as I was too busy taking photos.

    How cool that is! I would NOT have seen it if you hadn't have kept taking photos. What a pretty, pretty cool bird that is!

    Linda, I rely heavily on Ralph's amazing eye sight even though he is not a birder. He and I spotted this guy almost at the same time though. It was in a tiny roadside pool where we have seen many interesting rarities in recent years. Got our first of the year Swamp Sparrow there a couple of weeks ago.
