Let's hope so! We have a flat one down here that exactly matches the bark of our oaks. If they hold still on the tree trunk they just disappear.
That preying mantis pic is awesome! They are interesting creatures. I love them. Even though anything small and bug like creeps me out. =D Awesome though! Luvs Ya!

I guess they're definitely good for your garden...eat lots of bugs 'n stuff. I found one last summer under the motor cover of on of our irrigation wheel lines. The silly thing just held on while I moved the line and was still there when I put the cover back on the motor!

Far Side, thanks I guess in some cultures they are considered lucky...I admit that I posted this one because I couldn't find the pic I took this summer of my big draft horse shoe out by the herb garden and it is under snow now.

I didn't post a Sunday Still this time, but decided to look at everyone else's. Until I read the comments, I was wondering how you found that thing in the dead of winter! That's a good pic, green eyes and all! Another one of those that makes you wish for summer!
Neat photo! The only adult insect that I have seen lately was another mosquito that I found in the barn.
Meanwhile, I was thinking of you as I used your dressing recipe to make the turkey dressing for our Christmas dinner. I was very pleased with the result. I do like recipes that leave one free to play a bit. Thanks again!!!

OW, thank you! Not much in the line of insect life here either and the only flowers are indoors on geraniums and Christmas cacti
