Life on a family farm in the wilds of Upstate New York

Did I miss something. What happened to "the Late Great Frieland LV Dixie"?
Dixie died just over three years ago after injuring herself during a bout of milk fever after calving. We were all heartbroken. She was really one of the family. She still has two daughters, Dallas and Lakota in the milking herd.
Thanks for your answer. I can't image dealing with a loved injuried/sick animal weighing hundreds of pounds. Farmers have the most demanding jobs in the world. Love the names of the off spring, Dallas and Lakata.
