More cannons

Zendo deb of TFS Magnum was kind enough to stop by and leave a link in the comments so I can look at lovely Civil War cannons (and even buy one, should the boss win the lottery this weekend). Thanks deb.

Ahhh! Any of 'em would be FANTASTIC!!!

Sue would love one... (We have similar tastes in lawn ornaments!) ...but I'm holding out for a British early nineteenth-century (or late eighteenth-century) 24 or 32 pounder! One of the BIG boys! :)

In the park service I served on a 1740 6 pounder cannon crew during live fire demos at the Castillo.
It was a blast!

Hi Matthew, sorry to be so long replying but we are all sick here. We almost bought a wooden cannon from a junk dealer near here. It wouldn't actually work, but it looked as if it would.

FC, that is so cool. And I will bet that it was quite literally a blast. lol
