Timothy and Troglodytes aedon

Timothy is in bloom now.

Liz may have mentioned that she bought a digital camera to take rodeo photos and video for her blog, BuckinJunction. This has an incidental benefit for me, in that she can also take video of the house wren family that we discovered was nesting in the pillars on the front porch. She is going to put one up here for me later today. You can see them feeding their babies and singing at our front door. It is so delightful to sit here with the doors open to the front hall way and hear them sing and the babies twittering when they bring breakfast. It gives new meaning to the concept of sweet talk.

I apologize to all, who like us, have glacial dial-up connections (she lets her videos upload while we milk, which takes about three hours.) I know you probably won't have time to load the video when she gets it done, but I just couldn't resist sharing it.

Meanwhile, here is a rather blurry photo, taken with my much smaller, and not quite so zoomy, camera.

I can't wait for the video! Maybe it is time for Mom to buy her own new digital camera!! LOL.

I'll just enjoy your still shot since I too live (live?) with dialup.

The other night an ATT marketer called and asked me if I was aware I was eligible for DSL service for just $19.95 a month?
I asked her if she was aware that there was no DSL available in my remote location, and she put me on hold while she verified that, yes, I was correct.
Then she hung up.

Wonderful photos! And the strawberries look like they could be plucked off the monitor and savored -- I can almost smell them. Although it may be a pain for you to upload the video, those of us not on dial-up will enjoy the results!

Hi Joni, she is going to try to do it this evening. She had some issues with getting it off the camera

Hi FC, yeah, we have to wait forever to see them on here too. I have to laugh at your story. The opposite happened here. The office told us we could not get cable, but a lineman stopped and asked why we didn't as there is a hookup right in front of the house. When I called the company they STILL swore we couldn't get it but we do...just can't afford RR

NW Thanks I may go pick more today if I get time.

Thanks, Laurie, glad you like them.

I love my wrens! We had one lone one about 5 years ago and the next year he (?how do you tell?)brought a mate and now I have 5 pairs nesting in the various wren houses around the yard. I think they are one of the bossist birs going!

Hi Loubob, they are very aggressive. I am enjoying them, but I think they kicked the tame chickadees out of the yard.....miss them.
