I often regret not commenting more on the blogs I read (especially yours), but if I take the time to comment, I don't have time to read all the blogs that I enjoy! I wonder if Upstream would have continued if he had felt more appreciated.
I guess there is a lesson here for me. If I want my entertainment and education to continue, I must pay my dues. I love your blog, and my day would certainly be poorer without it. Write on, please!
Hi NW, I don't know why Dan quit, but I really miss his blog. It was one of my first two reads every morning along with Sarpy Sam. And thanks for the kind words...you know I love doing this.
You can read about what happened to my old blog at www.upstreamzine.wordpress.com. Actually, I don't tell the whole story but will at sometime in the future. Check out my new book blog at www.oldbooks.wordpress.com
Hi Dan, Your reasons make all kinds of sense but we will miss your particular brand of investigative journalism. I for one learned a lot from what you posted. I know what you mean though. Before I took on the Farm Side ten years ago I was attempting to write books...now making deadlines takes up all my energy. Thanks for taking time to let us know what happened.

I saw this also and had the same reaction.
