And a fair is pretty much the same no matter where you go. (I was actually wondering where you got the pictures of our fair)

Stacy, that is so true...although each has a bit of its own personality. For example this fair is very prosperous because it has a race track, while the other one we attend is kind of down at the heels.

Joni, we do too, very much. Glad to find another fan.

So true. I seem to find a new one to attend every year. This year it was the Chenango County Fair in Norwich. All to see some tractor pulling.

Hey there nyv, thanks for the cookies! I can't believe how good they are for being so simple....J's are wonderful too.We used to get the statewide fair pass (which is something you guys should check out if you go to a lot of fairs.)It lets two people into every single fair in the state including the state fair...plus free parking, as many times as you want to go.
Then we went to every single one we could get to, even Boonville, which is a really nice fair for cows. Missed seeing you yesterday...sorry.

This is the first year I have ever stayed at the county fair until after dark. It truly is a magic place, so different from the daytime.

That's very sweet. I imagine it's true, too . . .(maybe for you?)

Yeah I've been meaning to get the statewide pass. I forget by the time it needs to be postmarked(March???). Anyway I saved the info this year. Glad you enjoyed the cookies. Booneville has the NYTPA pulls as well!!!!

Hi Jan, this year seems like I have been there more after dark than in the daytime. The other night there was the cutest little girl at the edge of the midway, hugging herself and twirling in delight at it all. I got the biggest kick out of it.

Cathy, well the boss and I went to about a million of 'em in our younger days...now we seem to have to do it in shifts, but...

NYV, I think we may get one too and solve all the hassles at Altamont.
