Glad to see you went. I hope the concerts were fun. When you look back I'm sure you'll be glad you went.

Hi NYV, I suspect it will look better in retrospect but right now it is just painful. My days of 25 + hours without sleep and on the road are about thirty years behind me. Of course the girls are in much better shape. And we will have amazing stories to tell about the traffic for the Penn State game coming and going.

It sounds like you had fun at the concert. Yes, it does get a little harder to make the exertion as time goes by. When I was 18 I thought nothing of driving across the state, standing for hours waiting for the stadium to open, and then sitting in the grass for hours at an outdoor arena. Nowadays the concert had better be within 50 miles and they had better have nice cushy reserved seats!

Ah, the spirit of the pioneer women and youth is alive at Northview Dairy.

Hi Ken, thanks for visiting....I know exactly what you mean. I grew up very much into music and did whatever it took to listen to it or play it....we had a garage band and later a band that played schools and bars and clubs and we practiced every single night that we didn't have a job until one or two in the morning. We played until our fingers were all torn up...and we did anything to get to a good concert...not any more. I vote for the cushy seats and the show across the street. lol

Jan, we were nuts! We don't follow football so we got caught up in the traffic for the Penn State/Notre Dame both coming and going. It was bumper to bumper 70 miles an hour from State College to Wilkes Barre and stop and go almost as far going the other way. Dang!

Oh my, I forgot about the football games. We do take our football seriously around here. I'm surprised it wasn't even worse. Glad you had a good time at the concert, though. Maybe you can come again next year....and make it an over night stay. ;) I was really bummed to miss getting to meet.

Hi Stacy....it sure would have been special to meet you. Our guys like football, but up here it is Syracuse and we are a long way from where we would realize what the traffic would involve. We should have, given any common sense at all, known better than to have undertaken the whole affair really. We normally never go anywhere you can't get between milkings and are not exactly practiced travelers. Still it was an adventure. lol

it does sound like you went a little too far to drive but I would have to think it was well worth it! So much fun and great music! Bravo!
