I love chicadees and we rarely get them to come and visit.

I can't spell worth a hoot today I see.

Chicadees are my favorite (well, next to bluejays), but they don't seem to be around here any more. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw one.

Jeffo, oops, I had better watch out huh? lol

Linda, we lost most of ours during the west nile epidemic, but they have made a nice comeback now. All spelling is accepted here...no fussing.

Stacy, my favorites too, I am glad they are back

FC, indeed a good description

Ok I'll bite,,Diamonds? And I tried to feed some leftover bread to the birds here and the darned things left it all on my front lawn for days. Guess they were not very hungry. When they show up at my door looking malnurished and begging for food I'm gonna remind them of the bread! Ha Ha!

Tim, we can't wait until spring when we can collect more of these. They are quite common about twenty miles from here.
You could try sun flower seeds for your birds. Not many birds will eat bread.

Chickadees we got, Herkimers, not so much! :)

Actually the chickadees are probably a different variety, now that I think about it... we get the Carolina chickadees here.

Rurality, ours are (probably) black-capped. I hear tell they are quite hard to tell from Carolinas. Our local crew are my favorite birds...no bigger than a couple puffs of milkweed down strung together and yet they scold me harder than mama ever did!
Hmmm, I just went to a site that had the calls of both kinds and they are a lot different...

Mon@rch, they will come right to the back door and complain if they are hungry.
