Alan passed his road test

Flowstone in Howe Caverns

Tripe rock

So we celebrated. Guess how.....

Update....Here is a clue ... this celebration included a fairly large amount of exercise of a sort to which I am not so very accustomed.

Update #2..Guess I will have to give the answer away. (I was sure someone would get it, either a local person or perhaps a science teacher from the far south. Steve figured out how to get the answer, which is located at this spot )
Now you can see the photos from which the close-ups were taken.

Congrats to Alan!

...but I have no idea what the celebration is. It kinda looks like a fungus... -NW

This is either:

1) Alan swimming in caramel
2) The driver instructor's shorts
3) A funnel cake that didn't come out quite right
4) A knurled stock on a new rifle
5) The sides of the biggest mocha/chocolate/cocoa cake in NY

Hey Paints........ it's ok..... TC isn't listening... There's a nice iPod for you for a good hint here. LOL!!

NW, I'll bet you have been there...and Alan says thanks

Steve, although none of your guesses was quite exactly right, you did figure out the answer by visiting the View...and isn't it amazing the photos that really neat camera takes 200+ feet underground!! (I will smack Paints...she was threatening)

FC, I though sure you would get it, but you get points for the idea of tripe. The lower photo is of a formation called Tripe Rock. And nobody got it on the tour we were on until the tour guide had given a lot of tours. Then I guessed it, being probably the only one there who had ever even heard of it.

Paints, yeah, me too., lol

Bahaha! Noooooo don't do that!

(grins like a rabid weasel)

Gotta love 'em, dontcha?

Congrats again.

Zowie, that sure looks like a great spot to visit. Aren't there spectacular spots just around the corner that we never seem to get to. In my area, it's Mount Tamalpais. Do a quicky Googie search and you'll see what I mean.

Steve, very, very beautiful spot! Do you go biking there often? Howe Caverns is really quite spectacular. I have a lot more photos, which I will put up over on the photo blog over the next few days. I just found out Becky hasn't been either, so now I have an excuse to take her. Got to do some walking first though. It is a quite a hike and I got pretty tired (could have had something to do with having to milk at 4 that morning so we could be down there for the road test.)

Mrs. M, you should bring the clan down and go through. It is so rewarding! (And due to the huge number of school groups passing through, there was a certain resemblance to your destination. lol)
