I thought the Mircale of Birth was a great idea! And one of my favorite thing at the Altamont Fair has always been the little amusement park rides for the baby chicks - I must build some! Lastly, the photos of the midway made me want fried dough for breakfast - yummy!
Great looking fair! Glad you guys are showing there. Will we get to see pics of cows??
Wonderful photos!
I see some black clouds coming in that last picture...
The fair?????
I wanna funnel cake and I wanna corndog and I wanna bag of kettle corn and I wanna 64 ounce soda and then I wanna see the animals and then I wanna go to that big building over there and then I wanna grab an ear of sweet corn then I wanna see the ag stuff then I wanna go to the midway then I wanna look at the artsy stuff then we gotta see the home ec things and then get a big red and blue Slurpee then ride the mixmaster-upside down rides then have something good for lunch....
Fair? Man, you bring back too many memories.
Ahhh the county fairs. I too thought the Miracle of Birth tent was a great idea. I could not believe the amount of people in and around the tent on Sunday. My favorite thing besides the food has to be the tractor pulls. The NYTPA announcer always says, nothing runs like a deere except a bad *ss international!!!!
Teri, they are the sweetest thing! We have always enjoyed them especially when the kids were small.
Nita, this is the one we showed at every year but this year. We just went over for fun. We will be trucking in to our fair next Tuesday I believe.
Aussie O, Thanks, we seem to have a black hearted thunderstorm every afternoon. It is like living in the tropics
Steve, yup, that was all there....although we had French fries and then got some strawberry shortcake and a peach pie from the grange ladies. I made Alan's day by letting him eat at least a third of that pie....he was a happy boy.
NYV, thank you and Jen for making it possible for us to be there. We had a great time.
I had never heard that from the tractor pulls. lol I have only been to a couple. Too noisy for me.
