Life on a family farm in the wilds of Upstate New York

You're welcome. I bring home 4 gallons every Friday to get through the weekend, plus another 3 to 6 gallons during the week. I've switched from whole to 2% to 1% to skim as our aging bodies can no longer handle the fat.
I do think about where the milk comes from, and where it will come from in the future, as more and more dairy farmers I know sell off, and cut down to a 40-hour work week by working for someone else.
Milk goes in the shopping cart every trip to the grocery store for us too.
Staffordshire Farms,(Peru, NY) cows helped put my husband through college so he could practice architecture half way across the country. Still big milk drinkers here.
Anon, I truly am grateful to customers who buy dairy. We drink a lot too, probably about the same amount as your family....as for folks leaving the industry...it is going to be bad this time I think Two farms off our milk truck went last week and one the week before...and we are on one of those small trucks.
caroline, Thanks for drinking milk!
I am always grateful to folks who do.
