Sunday Stills, Reflections (a TwoFer)
Since open water is at a premium here in the Great Northeast this time of year, and since I have really overdone the mirror thing in the past few weeks, I dug into the archives for these. I am calling it a twofer because not only do you get Sunday Stills, you also get a peek back at summer (a season, which is much missed around here). The photos were taken last year during our Peck's Lake vacation. The cabin porch is my favorite place in the world and tranquil mornings there offer the finest sense of peace and joy I have ever found.

Beautiful reflections of the sunset! Great submissions for this week. :)
Lovely! The first one looks like the calm before the storm, and they are all just beautiful. I can see why you find peace of mind theree.
man, I sure wish I was right there right now! Beautiful!
Very nice! Sunsets and water always make a great shot.
They look really beautiful, really stunning. Nature at it's finest.
They are all beautiful shots.
You can see mine on my photo blog.
I took similar sunrise ones this past summer on Lake Champlain when I was home for visit. The bright orange sun rising over Isle LaMotte, VT is the view out my bedroom window from childhood. Beautiful! No Photoshopping involved, Ma Nature's own Sunkist Orange seems common in the North Country.

Honey!
I've just been back over the last month or so sampling of your posts. Holy "Cow-moly" . . . the blend of humor, beauty, care and concern - joy, pride and orneriness (Al Bore!)
well . . this one of the finest blogs ever.
(I'm about to share the Frieland Follies with my hubby. You're a hoot)
These are just gorgeous! Memories of summer......
I just found your blog and am adding it to my favs. I grew up in upstate NY, and the Holsteins and hills and farm just grabbed me. I'll be back
These are a fine reflection on you.
heehee
Absolutely beautiful shots 3C.
Seems somewhere in my memory was a season called Summer - warm motorcycle rides, long days spent shooting and jogging and pushing the lawn mowers around. Yes, thanks for the memories - I was beginning to feel it was all only a dream.
I think these are all beautiful. I especially like the color in the last one. It is unexpected, I guess, in that kind of shot. Very cool.
How amazing and those colors are perfect!
Wow, really gorgeous photos. It looks like an amazing place, thanks for sharing it with us.
Oohh summer and your vacation!
Beautiful shots.

I like the first photo, the sun and the clouds are captured well on the water. It looks very inviting. Good job. I imagine it is a far cry from how it looks right now.
