Sunday Stills Motion
This week's Sunday Stills is motion. You woul think everything would be frozen in place around here this time of year, but a few things were on the move.
Believe it or not even this spider was moving right out....He was in the center of the skunk track area above when I spotted him. I though it would be fun to pick up the hunk of snow he was sitting on to take a close up. Hah! He jumped off my hand like a rocket. I tried five times before I realized that he wasn't interested in posing for anything that included the word still. When I left he was hustling across the snow going who knows where and going there in a hurry. Who knew that spiders ran around on the snow on sunny days?

Great shots!! Love the variety...the chickadee one is wonderful! :)
Love the chickadee! They are one of my favorite birds.
Love the chickadee & what a tough spider!
Great bird shot. And the skunk pic made me laugh!
Great chickadee! The spider gave me the creeps.... and you have a very handsome cat!
Cool shots, I had no idea spiders could survive in the snow...
The bird image shows a lot of motion! Wonderful job~
Marie
The top picture is awesome!
Oh, well I was enjoying your photos quite a bit until I came upon the LAST one! Good thing my cocoa wasn't in my hand or it'd gone all over the keyboard.
I love the chickadee too and you can keep your skunk, we have enough.
I agree with Prairierunner...you can keep the skunk AND the spider
That first photo is absolutely stunning!
Great shot of the chickadee. How many shots to get that one? Good job.
Wow you have a great collection here! I love the first one and the spider one! Great job!
Love the chickadee! I really am amazed at some of the shots you get.
The chickadee is great - and an interesting feeder, too.
Have never seen a spider in the snow - thought I was safe from them in winter.
The chickadee in flight is beautiful! :)
Andrea, thank you. That one was my favorite too
CTG Ponies, I love them too. It is so nice to have them around
Nita, thanks, I was amazed!
The Wife, he is out there every night....and some days! I wish he would just move along but I guess he likes what he finds
Shirley, thanks, she is kind of an evil cat, but I like her
Ed, it was a new one on me, you wouldn't believe how fast it could scuttle
Mariesimage, thank you!
JB, thank you too, I was happy when I saw it.
Pete, it must have been warmed by the sun because it could really run! Thanks
Tracey, sorry about that. I am not a big fan of icky brown spiders either, but it was so surprising to see it out in the snow
Linda, thanks, wish he would leave...maybe he will....I can hope
Kelly, I guess we have no choice. It sure makes night time calf checks interesting
CC, thanks so much. I love chickadees
Regular Guy, Just lucky with that one. I actually only took a few but it was a nice day and I pulled a lawn chair over by the feeder and sat there for a few minutes and the little guy was just obliging. Thanks
JenMo, thank you so much!
Apple, thank you, it is mostly luck and tame chickadees. lol
Violet Sky, thanks, I can't imagine why it was out on the snow or where it was going. It was in this huge expanse of snow-covered lawn with a very long way to go to even find a stick or something to climb on.
FAr Side, thanks so much, I had a lucky day with him.
Great shots! Although I'm not much of a spider person I can admire their tenacity.
I would have never thought a spider would be out in the cold. And to be cold, they aren't far off the ground.

RR, thank you so much. And same here, although I do like the big orb web spinners in the summer. Both they and their webs are so pretty
Linda, I was simply astonished and even more amazed when it ran right down my arm....fast...when I picked it up.
Ehw, and I thought I was safe from spiders in cold weather!! Your chickadee shot is wonderful, love it!
Oz Girl, sorry about the spider. It was just so odd to see it out in such weather. And thanks for your kind words!
