Sunday Stills...Landscape

Everything is pretty brown here in the Northeast, although a few more sunny days like yesterday and that will most likely change. Here are a couple views we took while building fence in the heifer pasture yesterday.

Nice pictures, but my landscape is whiter than your landscape - although it shows Spring and you have mountains more leaves coming and I had to clean my gutters in the rain yesterday for I have horded too many. Really, very nice pictures.

Anon, nope, he came home with checkbook intact. Thanks

Matt, good thing to be doing. Wish the nice weather would come back!

Ed, thanks, we actually have high hills and Alan was up on one yesterday taking pics. I haven't seen what he got yet

Andrea, thanks, we do have high hills!

Tim, I thank you for your generosity, but really, we still have some left over...

The Wife, thanks, I only took 107 trying to get something. lol

gtyup, thanks!

Pete, thanks, I guess the haze was mostly from brush fires, one of which popped up just east of us when we were coming back down the hill!

Shirley, thanks! Sometimes eagles patrolling the river fly right past the windows of the house!

Marie, thanks, summer and fall would be good! Much prettier at least here.

Earl, that must have been a truly miserable job! Spring is creeping up on us, but very slowly, one step forward and two steps back!

Dibear, it is taken from a hill on our farm looking more or less north into the Adirondack Mountains, thanks

Linda, I hope we do this again in greener months! Thanks

ctg ponies, thanks! I can't wait until it greens up a bit!

JenMo, thanks, it was kinda fun

Sara, soon, very soon, it will be so much prettier as the hardwoods begin to green up. Just a matter of weeks before the wild plums bloom....sigh....

" . . building a fence in the heifer pasture."

You live in a poem.

(Yes, I know. We townies waaay over romanticize country life ;0)

Still . . . it's lovely country.

Cathy, I know what you mean, really I do. I was born a city kid and married into this life, although I knew I wanted land and animals at an early age....and the heifer pasture is one of the best places we have. Close enough to the house to feel like home, not too many strangers tromping over it, yet, it holds so much that is wild. I really like it.
