Rainy Days

We have joined the rest of the nation, or at least a lot of it, in being too soggy wet, too dark and dreary and just plumb too miserable, weather wise. According to a well known Town of Glen businessman there was hard frost there this weekend......Although rain is needed in some quantity, enough is enough. We are in the middle of spring planting and starting to hay and it can stop now, thank you.

However, being unable to garden, plant or mow left time for a little silliness yesterday.

Such as herding the one-footed rooster with Gael

Or looking for examples of optimism

Cat VS Cottontail

Buzzards VS Broadway

These things are so not happening guys......

You don't really know dark and dreary, but I wouldn't want you to, a little goes a long way to appreciating bright blue and blazing Sunlight and those really hot late Summer days. We have dried out enough with lack of rainfall to need to start the sprinkler systems and garden hoses.

Now that we have shredded the pastures and planted the back pasture, we haven't gotten a drop of rain. Amazing, huh!

Wet here too.
More to come as hurricane season approaches.

We've had rain for a couple of days but I sure do love seeing that new field turning green :)

It's tough when so much needs doing outside and it's pouring.

Hang in there....the sun will come back!

We are SO dry here you sure could be sending some our way. Optimism is a good thing.

At least we needed the rain. But, yes, it is messing up haying right about now. As always - terrific photos! Never a dull moment when you live in the country.

Dani, lol, I thought of you when I saw the cat all flattened out on the lawn and looked around to see what she was stalking....

Anon, It can and I really hope it does. We have hay down and one more field of corn to plant

Earl, Thanks, wish we could lend your our rain and give the sprinklers a rest. It was getting dry here, but now the mud is so deep it is hard to walk

The Wife, it figures...you need it, we get it

FC, hoping the pond fills! Our river is bank full and slightly floodish and the creeks are ramping up to overkill level in a big hurry.

Deb, third solid day of it and we have really had a lot! It can stop anytime now.

Linda, I sure would like to send it your way. We are at a dead standstill

Teri, thanks, I love taking them. And you sure are right about the dull moments! Wow!

Jan, I will try.....hmmm....no...it isn't going. I wish it would though if you can use it!

KK, it did indeed. It was as big as Kashette, the kitty, so if she had actually gotten a hold of it it would have been quite a battle. She hunted it all afternoon though.
