Great photo, did you have to wait a long time and follow the bee around before you got the perfect photo? The colour is great too.

I love these. I love the clarity of both of them, the glossiness of the bee, the perfect happy happy yellow color...
Thank you!

And a baby bee, too?

Great colors and clarity. I, too, love the staircase from yesterday.

Very nice!

That bee could be next year's fair entry.

Nice macro, good job. Bees are popular today. :)

MSW, he was kind of an accident when I was out doing something else

Ann, thanks, no, actually I was trying for a decent close up of the goldenrod and he just happened by...

Lisa, thank you! I was taking pics of the house for Beck because she is homesick

June, thank you for such kind words. It was pretty accidental. I was trying to get decent pics of a huge mass of goldenrod, which is something I have never managed to do. For some reason it always loses its color in a photo...so I stopped for a macro and the bee flew in

Thanks, Dani!

Colleen, thanks so much

Sara, thank you

NW, I didn't even see the little one until you pointed it out! And thanks

Joated, thanks, it could be. We didn't do so hot this year...only one second, but it is always fun to try

dibear, Your bees are wonderful lol
And thanks

Excellent macros as always. Off topic but have you noticed that they don't seem as fuzzy all over like they used to back in the day? Or is the pollen just clouding my trifocals again?

Steve, thanks for your kind words....and yeah, I believe that you are correct and that it is because we aren't seeing many real honey bees any more. Because of the die off a lot of other bees and wasps are filling their niche. I am only seeing one or two honey bees a summer now...and I miss them.
