Even as a long time hunter who has watched as young fawns frolick and play in the fields, I still forget that even young cows need their play time, too.
Dani, they are in some ways like big dogs at that age. I love to watch them high stepping it when she brings them over
Joated, they love to be taken out...or most of them do. She is a nice baby
anon, thanks, she is growing pretty well. Wish my SWD Valiant was as big as that!
Deb, thanks, her grandma was a moose as a calf...still is as far as that goes..and it looks as if she will be following in those footsteps
Lisa, they are, aren't they? She had the guinea fowl, dogs and roosters in an uproar with all her silliness.
SCMomma, a great dane now....and then in another year or so...lol
Faithful, thanks, it is always an issue getting those babies trained up right. I have been nagging a bit about this one as she has some potential if she keeps growing. They can look so good and if they won't walk quietly in the ring...
Nita....shhhh....we have been lucky so far. lol Alan was up in Summit for a class yesterday and they had a mess
anon, thanks, depends on the age of the calf. We have pens, lots, some are tied when they are too small to be safe out.

Calves are just the cutest things. She's adorable.

And I agree with Dani, a really, really BIG dog!
she's beautiful...and looks big too!
What a beauty she is. She's a big girl for three months old :)
Looks like she loves to play. We had fun when we take the two calves out also, they are so funny to watch!
That is too cute! I agree with Dani - like a big dog LOL
..what a sweet litte heifer! Pays to start real early on the halters! Our 4-H calves weren't nearly as gentle as her. Loved the video!
What a doll - glad to see you don't have snow yet!!
are your calves always tied in the barn or do they have time in a lot to exercise? This is a beautiful calf and so frisky.
Colleen, thanks, she is Liz's pride and joy

Teri, aren't they loud and funny? There was such an uproar with all the livestock over the calf being over at the house. lol
