The ice is neat, I rarely see anything like it down here, although our pipes are frozen for the second day in a row. At most it is an inconvenience, I don't know how you live an entire season with it!
MSW, thank you, it was just a lucky shot, but I love it too...it is my desktop background in fact. lol
Ed, thanks, this challenge was so much fun!
Lisa, thanks, it is a favorite of mine
Tammy, thanks!!
Rhonda, thanks, we had some weird weather last winter and the pond froze in a couple of windy hours. I was glad to get pics
AKA, you are quick!! Very quick!
fW, so sorry about your pipes. That is just miserable. Hope the weather moderates soon!
Lori, thank you. That happened when the temp dropped about thirty degrees in a couple of hours when it was very windy last winter...just luck that I got it.
Holly, thanks!!
Shirley, thanks, funny how the lucky, spur of the moment shots end up being my favorites
Steve, wish you could hear the snow squeak when the animals walk or run or play in it. Although I am not a winter lover it is pretty neat. Thanks!
Sara, thanks, same here about the comment! I laughed so hard the family thought that I was losing it.
Brenda, it was a warm windy early spring day. The pond was thawed...the temp dropped precipitously while the wind was blowing hard and it carved up those shapes in ice. they only lasted a few days, but we enjoyed them
cTG Ponies, thanks, me too. lol
Linda, thank you...it is nice to have the camera to make me notice.

Those are both great shots...that 2nd one is amazing!
love both of them!
Both very worthy shots. Flying coldness!
I can hear the heavy, powdery "badda bump, badda bump" as it gallops along.
I can see Horton's frozen little dust speck in that ice. (Mesmerizing image, by the way)
Ice is so lovely when it's not at your home. :)
Can't help but laughing at the 6th comment. I wish I would have thought of that and put it to my personal spin on it.

you captured a different view of the horse running through the snow! How did you capture the ice/water that way? I'm intrigued!
The ice is great but I'm always partial to the horse.
What beauty you doth find!
