The boss called my attention to this visitor. He was being mobbed by a couple of crows and landed quite near the house, so I grabbed a couple of pics through the window.

We have entirely to many here. And they are HUGE.
Great pictures though :) They are a much nicer bird when they are somewhere else.
You can see his eyes, you did such a good job. The top one looks like he is looking right at you.
We have a bald eagle landing in the fields eating afterbirth...now if I can just catch him on camera....

Teri,thanks, I know hawks will eat them...but here we have so many other predators, the hawks are but a minor threat. The fisher on the other hand. lol
Sara, thanks, I don't mind the red tailed hawks. they don't seem to bother much of anything except wild rabbits (which are Hell on the garden) and pigeons. It is hilarious to see them trying to get pigeons from under the eaves of the barn. They are far too large to be very maneuverable
