Deb P, thanks for visiting and taking time to comment. Welcome to Northview. Spring was rolling along apace last week, but it has retracted into its shell now and things are kinda frozen...hoping for better days soon
June, things are greening up the teensiest bit here...a few day lily shoots, a couple of early tulips. we can at least hope.
I can "smell" the grass growing out there today......I love it!! Great egg pic last post, I wish I could have chickens but the battling the Bossman for hens just isn't worth the effort:(
Spring started out warm here but has stalled now with freezing, and lots of cold rain. Can't come soon enough for me or the haypile. We need some grass!
I've got a post in my draft section with the same title - seems like hay is always on a farmers mind.
Linda, thanks, I love having hens, although they don't make much sense in a purely financial sense. Can't beat fresh eggs. We were greening up pretty good then it turned off cold. Can't wait for grass. We are buying hay and I like having them go get their own a whole lot more!
Nita, We need grass and pretty desperately. Can't afford to keep buying hay and last year was so darned rainy we didn't make near enough.

I love this. It's such a reflection of where I'm at right now...searching for signs of spring.
I am just in from CLOSE examination of the forsythia. There are the tiniest of tiny green shoots there.
Little promises of buds.
