Race Cat
We are hemmed in by race tracks here at Northview, with Fonda Speedway to the northeast and Glen Ridge to the west (it is not quiet on Friday and Saturday nights in summer....)
Last night the kids went to Glen Ridge, which is not too far from our west border, but a heckuva long way from the barn or house, both of which are on the east end of the place.
Out in the parking lot they saw a little yellow cat scavenging around for lost French fries and road kill hot dogs. They watched it for a bit when suddenly it dawned. That was OUR cat, Kashette! (Now we know why she has been gaining weight.)
While they were trying to puzzle out ways to bring her back home in the BF's pick up truck she vanished and they didn't see her again that night.
This morning she was right back on the porch waiting for her drink of milk. Probably needed to wash down all that salty race track food. Alan picked her up to pet her and she smelled like hot dogs. Wouldn't that have been a puzzler if they hadn't seen her out on the town?
Cathy, who would have believed it? And me too on Jan's comment. lol
June, rofl...just hope she doesn't go to the other track. She would have to cross some roads for that one
SCMomma, I wondered if that was you! A couple of weeks ago it did the same thing....and yeah, sometimes nothing will do the trick but some nice, tasty junk food. I am dreaming of potato chips right now
Joated, rofl, she just plugs her ears and hums....
Jeffro, she is a piece of work. All the other cats hate her and the dogs avoid her like the plague.

Obviously the cuisine you offer leaves a lot to be desired.
Oh my gosh! That is too funny! So is Jan's comment :-D
...out cattin' around on a Friday night, huh? :-P
That is too funny. That's a long walk for junk food. I don't blame her though every once in a while a girl's just got to have a hot dog LOL
I have no idea why Google is using an old geocaching ID for me - odd. I had to sign out and then back in to Sandcastle Momma.
EVERYBODY needs a night on the town now and then.
I just hope she's had that talk.
What a corker!
JAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!bawahahaha
Jan, lol, I am afraid that you must be right.

Dani, lol, my thoughts exactly!!
That is just tooooo funny! Amazing where cats to roam :)
Junk food junkie, when the moon pie wrappers start mysteriously appearing behind the woodpile, you'll know she's beyond hope.
That is funny! Cats are the craziest. I'd travel far to get some good greasy food too...
Sara, she is such a resourceful cat, but that just amazed me.
AKAAWM, it wouldn't surprise me a bit! lol
K&J, believe it or not, I had noticed that she was gaining weight...pretty funny to find out why. Love you!
Cats are such funny creatures. They can travel for miles and still make it home. Which is good, because we do want them home.
Sammy-Sam checks out about 1 miles worth of property. It is always a start when I see him somewhere way over there.
