And Florida, California and Alaska too. Earthquakes (which I suppose technically aren't weather, but they can go away just the same) a devastating hurricane, and now a tornado.
Enough already. You can all have your weather and your seismological events back any time you want them.
Here at Northview we were just getting started milking, early, trying to beat the storm, which looked like a big one, and its potential for power failure, when the lights went out.
Fun, fun, fun. Thankfully the power was restored fairly quickly, although a couple of hours were added to evening chores, which were not much enhanced by the rain either.
September in upstate NY is supposed to bring warm, bright days and cool pleasant nights. Sunshine. Calm. Fresh vegetables.
What the heck is up with this and who has OUR weather? That's what I want to know.

Gettin' a little old, isn't it?
It sure has been one crazy summer that is for sure, mother nature is reminding us that she is still in control!
Seriously, I think of you all everytime I see the weather channel.
I think you are safe from tsunamis tho.
Hang in there.
You guys are sure getting the brunt of mother nature down there.....be safe. I love the photo!
can't imagine the tension of trying to get the milking done while looking over your shoulders . . .
It's been a weird, weird summer.
Unfortunately, I'm afraid we better get used to this, since climate change is a definite reality, despite the naysayers' delusions.
What is going on up there? Y'all are having the craziest weather I've ever seen! Let's hope this means you'll have a nice easy winter.
The heat has FINALLY broken in this corner of Kansas - a cold front came through that knocked the temps down into the seventies and eighties - even the fifties at night. Still dryer than a popcorn - well, you know.
It has not been a good weather year for you at all!
