Mom is a Carver Too

She carved this little Santa and even won a blue ribbon with him. He was among my very favorite Christmas gifts this season.

I'm awestruck. If you handed me a block of wood and said make something recognizable . . Well . . . frankly . . . I think I'd hurt myself and only end up with splinters.

How long did it take her to render this wonderful santa?

Not only does that look like Santa, which is impressive in itself . . . but it looks as if it has a little patina of age.

Dani, thanks on Mom's behalf. You can't imagine how I gasped when I opened the package. It was so unexpected and I was truly delighted!

Cathy, I can't carve a lick either. I am not sure how long it took her to carve it. Dad has done a lot of really cool Santas too.

Joated, thanks

Linda,. thanks

June, mom loves antique Santas.
