One of the things I've noticed here in Alaska is that we don't seem to have songbirds. I suppose the eagles, hawks, and great horned owls would make quick work of them, but I do miss bird song.
I just checked your blog after sipping coffee on the back porch watching a phoebe catch breakfast, cardinals at the bird bath, jays squawking at a hawk and blue-gray gnatcathers woking the oak tree for snacks. What a coincidence!
