Too many hours worrying about our boy driving home from DC for the weekend. He is here safe and sleeping and I am most thankful.
Not much else to report. Old dog did well for a few days. Now he won't eat again.

I'm glad to hear your son is home where you can keep an eye on him, and I'm sorry you're on the downside of the Old Dog Rollercoaster. He probably has a few more rallies left in him.
I hope.
Rest and enjoy that good young man.
It's that kind of day.
I'm glad your son is home. Sorry about the dog, though - that's too bad.
Dogs always break our hearts, but the memories live forever.
And so life goes. Oh the love we have for these dogs and for so short a time. What a shame but it's always worth it for the time that they are with us.
Glad your son has returned.
Get some sleep.
June, I believe you are right. He moped around all day, and then sometime in the afternoon he ate his whole dish of cat food, canned dog food and bacon grease (which is all he will eat)
Cathy, thanks, we miss him so much. this is life, but not all aspects of it are favorites.
Rev. Paul, he rallied a bit and is pretty perky this morning....canine conundrum, that's him
Jan, they do! I miss MIke all the time, but at least I had his wonderfulness for 16 years and I remember him well
farmlady, thanks, I did and feel a lot more human this morning. Alas he has to head back to Washington for at least a few weeks.....oh, well....as he says, it is what it is.
I am so sorry about your sweet old dog, they are still our puppies at heart and to see them struggle is horrible.
I'm glad your son is home, even for a short while.
