Dawning of a Hay Day |
Yesterday was a perfect confection of weather, especially if you like haying weather. The sun shone, the breezes bumbled gently by, and it was dry, dry, dry.
The boss put three loads, I think, in the mow, and has one on the wagon, hopefully tarped....
However, this morning it is chilly and grey and something I strongly suspect is thunder, is grumbling ominously off to the west.
What a weird summer.
And Mama, I am so sorry about the paltry little zucchetta I sent home with you Sunday. I weeded a path into the back of the patch, where no man (or woman) has gone before, and look what I found. If I had gotten to this one, you could have had a freezer full of it! It is the size of a suitcase.
Alas, I didn't find it until yesterday. And believe it or not, it is still tender!
Guess I will be freezing squash today.
