More ID Questions

Is this a Horned Grebe?

And these? To us northerners they are LBBs....little brown birds,
but I'll bet they are lifers if we knew their name.

Red Dhouldered Hawk?

Mystery Duck

For the pros from the Sunshine State.

Could the duck be a female black duck ? . . . and trust me . .. I am NO duck expert.

This is hilarious. I'm terrible at shorebirds but it hasn't affected my desire to 'wade' in on this. How about that LBJ as a winter red knot?

Cathy, didn't get conformation on all the other birds, but I put the duck on FB Bird ID of the world and it seems to be a Gadwall. Lifer for me! I will put the little guys up today and see what I get. this is fun, but humbling....here I thought I was a birder.

Looks like you found some interesting birds to photograph!

I am so poor at duck and lbj's cause I lack the discipline to go waterside and sit-tight with a field guide :)

Sorry for the late check in, but yes on the horned grebe. RS hawk.
Can't see enough of the shorebirds to hazard a guess.
Gonna be in the teens here in Central Fl on Thursday am. Worried about frozen pipes here too.
Yuck.

Lisa, it was amazing and humbling. I have a LOT to learn about shorebirds. m lol

Myamuhnative, thank you for helping me with these! So sorry to read about the cold coming in for you. It must be miserable. We are more or less used to it, but I hate every day of it. So hard on people and animals alike. Liz and Jade both slipped on the ice yesterday and injured themselves....take care, and thanks again
