What with all the outrageous data breaches that Yahoo has experienced lately, experts are suggesting that users terminate their accounts.
What a pain in the neck.
Actually killing your account isn't all that hard, but migrating everything you use it for to another address is a real nuisance. I have had that Yahoo address for years and years and years. A lot of the stuff that comes to it is junk. I will be glad to get rid of that without a hundred dozen unsubscribes.
But a lot is not.
So that's what I have been doing instead of blogging and taking pictures and keeping the house under control...finding passwords for old sites that I still need to use...trying to organize the account I am going to be using so that I am not overwhelmed....getting situated to use one account instead of two.
Bah humbug!

My sympathies, Marianne. I used Yahoo for years, but then I got hacked twice, lost all my contacts as well as all my saved and sent mail, and often I could not send attachments. Enough was enough and I switched to Google mail. It was quite a pain trying to contact all my usual correspondents, since I had lost all their email addresses. I also had just printed up some cards with my yahoo address on them, so I did keep the account (I still have it but rarely use it). So far I've had no problems at all with Google. So sorry you have to deal with this with all the other stuff we moms and grandmoms have to do at Christmastime. I hope you have a lovely Christmas nevertheless.
Jacqueline, thanks, I know I should have gotten rid of it a long time ago, but it was one of the first addies I used and so many silly little things come to it...like bird alerts and Florida Fisheries and Wildlife and stuff. Not important things, but things I enjoy. I will get 'er done sooner or later. Thanks for your kind words.
