Golden Eagle
We saw this guy last night in the cornfield at the bottom of the hill on the east side of Ingersoll Rd. last night if anyone wants to look for it. There was a lot of discussion over whether it was actually a Golden Eagle or not but it made the state rare bird list as confirmed so.....
You've sure been finding some really great birds! A Golden Eagle, imagine that! Loved your last post, too with all those pretty ducks. Hard to believe the Wood Ducks and Hooded Mergansers are self-generating wild ducks and not some designer species created by manipulated breeding.
Jacqueline, we are having so much fun! And I agree on the little ducks. They are astonishing and I can't resist photographing them no matter how many times we see them.

Nice Golden Eagle, I’m jealous. I’ve seen a lot in flight during migration but I’ve never seen one perched.
Bill, he was a delightful surprise to us! We have only ever seen one other in county and that was one was indeed flying.
