Visitors arrived while I was taking pictures of the rain this afternoon......That thumping noise under the traffic sounds is rain on the tin roof of the porch. We have had a trifle more than we needed so far...

Jo Alex, they made my day. I love to go birding every day, but yesterday every single time I stepped outdoors it began to pour. I was sitting right on the porch...more or less dry...when they strolled right up the driveway right in front of me. I watched them doing their thing until they got bored with the lawn and headed up into the old orchard.
